Homemade Cajun Spice Mix



I love making my own spice mixes because I get to control the amount of salt and flavor I put in them without all the additives you find in packaged spice packs.


What you need:

  • 3 tbsp sweet smoked paprika

  • 2 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp white pepper

  • 1 tbsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp oregano

  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 tbsp dried thyme

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional) but elevates it

  • Salt to your taste (you can always skip salt and just season with salt when you cook)


Mix well and store in an airtight jar and use when needed


**Jawaher’s tip: Amazing to marinate your chicken and prawns - just add olive oil or avocado oil to spices and your protein
