Garlic Confit

This is a go to buttery garlic to add to you salads, marinades, smearing it on a toasted sourdough slice, on your veggies or even in your favorite dip!
All you need is:
Garlic
Olive oil
Mixed Italian herbs
What I used:
3-4 large heads of garlic - peeled and separated
1 cup of olive oil
3 tbsp Italian herb mix
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celcuis
Place all the ingredients in small baking dish and cover with foil or a baking lid
Bake until the garlic is tender: for 40mins - 1 hour depending on how hot your oven is
Keep an eye on it after 40mins if your oven is hot - you don't want to burn the garlic
Storage:
Store in a clean air tight jar (will last up to two weeks, refrigerated in an air-tight jar)
You can always store it in the freeze - will last up to two months in the freezer
**Important: DO NOT let the garlic confit sit or store at room temperature, as this provides an ideal environment for dangerous toxins to form. And carried the risk of botulism when not stored correctly.
So please store it correctly or consume straightaway
